A little bit happiness for the citizen

Last Friday night (12/06) in Purwoyo 2 street there was a little night market. This night market always held once a month on Friday at 6.30 pm till 10pm. There were some sellers who sell clothes, toys, many kinds of slippers, and many more.

 It was a clear night and the visitors came to the night market. Most of the visitors were mothers who want to buy toys and clothes for their kids.

To make the night market very interesting, the seller played musics especially dangdut music. The people looked very happy and enthusiastic with the night market and the this was became entertainment to them because they do not need go to far from their place to enjoy the night market.

The most crowded stand was the stand which sells clothes for the kids because mothers always interest with the cute clothes for their kids especially clothes for the girls and the pictures of the clothes were Masha and the Bear and Frozen. That were the most favorite cartoon for the kids. And the sellers also offers the bargain to the mothers.

Not only the clothes stand which is the most popular but also the toys stand. In the toys stand offers many kind of toys like puzzle, drawing book, stick lamp and many more.

Meanwhile the fathers just looked and enjoy the night market with drink some coffe and watched tv because there was a football competition.

Fake Online Shop

Do you like online shopping? In this modern life, online shopping is a common activity in the society. People like doing online shopping because online shopping offers a lot of easiness. Moreover stuff that is showed in the online shopping is more attractive. With the support of the development technology, nowadays people can access the internet easily. They can access the internet whenever and wherever they want. Gadget like smartphone, tab, and laptop is popular in the society to access the internet.

Online shopping is indeed easy but we have to be careful because nowadays there a lot of fake online shop. It is important to be cautious whenever we want to buy something in online shop because there are some people who want to take advantages through online shop. There are a lot of ways to deceive the customer. first usually the way they deceive the customer is by asking the customer to transfer money before the stuff which is buyed is delivered. But in the end after transfer the money, the stuff is not delivered.

The second way is by using Cash on Delivery (COD) system. In the COD system usually the buyer and the seller meet in the place to do transaction. However the system can used by the fake seller to rob the buyer.

Although online shopping is easy and fun, we have to be careful in choosing the online shop that we want to use. Make sure the online shop is verified.

Chasan Puro Carnival

Last Sunday (31/05) Taman Pendidikan Qur’an Chasan Puro Ngaliyan Semarang, celebrate the graduate students who passed studying Qur’an. They look very happy and proud in the sunny day. 

This event become an annual event because every year Chasan Puro have graduate student and the graduation should be celebrated.

One of the teachers said that the purpose of this event is not only to celebrate the graduation but also as a promotion. 

People especially children when they see the carnival, they want to be like them and interested to study qur’an. And for the parents, when they see this carnival. They want their children can study qur’an.

The marching band enliven the carnival, they play some traditional songs like Apuse song from Papua, dangdut songs like berondong tua, and the national song like garuda di dadaku song.  

The other students look very enjoying the carnival although the weather is very hot. There eighteen students who bring the Indonesia flag, they are proud can involve in this event. 

Annisa : She Can!

English Department in State University of Semarang and United State Embassy  hosted a programme called International Academic Supervision (IAS). this programme offers  graduate scholarship for English Department students.

 Annisa Widyawati from English literature has a chance to fill the scolarship. Her motivation are she wants continue her study to graduate progamme and she adores Mrs. Erica Ballasz who has a great thought.

The selection of the scholarship had been held since last year and selected four students Annisa, Andar, Lutfiana, and Arum. They are selected from 20 candidates who apply in this shcolarship.

They are train to fulfill the requirements to get shoclarship in United States. There are four guidance that must follow by them in order to get shcolarship and learn about universities in United State.

Annisa said that the difficulty in this programme is confuse about the procedure from the department. She has to do exercises about IELTS and discuss it with Mrs. Erica who is the IELTS trainer.

She would like to take Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) because in undergraduate she takes English literature and she wants to take something different. That is why she would like to take TESOL in her graduate programme.

And the expectation, in 2016 she will go to United State. 

Behind the Scene of Tourism in Central Java

Talking about tourism, especially in Central Java cannot be separated with people who work in the tourism field. One of the organization which contribute to tourism in Central Java is ASITA. In this occasion, I have an oppurtunity to interview with secreatariat of ASITA.

Diyah Nila Chrysna was born at 6 Agustus 1671 works at Asosiasi Perusahaan Perjalanan Wisata Indonesia (ASITA) Jawa Tengah as a secretariat. She began her works in 2003 because her friend offered to have a job in tourism field.

 “I like tourism and especially I graduated from AKPARI Semarang, so I have knowledge and experience in tourism” she said.

Then I asked about what are the difficulties in her job, she says “ the difficulties are if we have an event, I have to came home late whereas my little daughter needs me”.

I understand about what she feels because she is a mother and her husband also works in tourism as tour guide.

Like the event which is held recently in Lawang Sewu “Central Java Tourism Expo 2015”. The event was held to introduce tourism in Central Java and was followed by hotels, stand about tourism in Central Java and many more.

“I hope there are many event like this, so we can develope tourism in Cenral Java and increase the economy of people”.

 She worked hard and almost come home late because she must prepare the event well. And because of his dedication and other people, the event was successfully held.  

She admit that organize the event is difficult but she likes her job because she can contribute in promotion central java tourism and invite the illegal tour agent to join ASITA and have a license and be an dependeble tour agent.

“you as the next generation have to contribute to promote the potential tourism sepecially in Central Java, Salam Pariwisata”

Kartini Day Celebration

Last tuesday (21/04) Indonesia celebrate Kartini day. This day is to commemorate the national heroine which is known for her right to equal rights for women, Ibu Kartini. She inspired many women even men to continue her struggle againts gender discrimination. Many ways people do to celebrate the day, from wearing traditional outfits until distribute a flower to woman.

Like students from Pendidikan Luar Sekolah (PLS) State University  Semarang (Unnes), they distributed flowers to women in other faculty.

One of the coordinator said Ibu Kartini has inspired them that women are created uniquely with their own and has same opportunity with men. That is why they distributed the flowers to women as a symbol. They want to spread motivation to other women to keep struggle in whatever the condition.

Pustaka Sari, a student from English Department say “we have to appreciate with what they have done, distribute the flowers is just the symbol and celebration. Don’t forget the essential of the Kartini’s day itself”.

A Murderer of Yanuar was Sentence 15 years old

Suwari or Kasman’s eyes filled with tears in the state court Semarang last Thursday (9/4/2015). Suwari confess regret about what he has done. He asked to the tribunal law not to punish him heavily.

Suwari lives in Dawung, Jatibarang, Mijen, Semarang. He is a murderer toward Yanuar Rusmiyanto (25) in WR. Soepratman street, Yanuar Rusmiyanto (25) who lives in Condrokusumo, Gisikdono, Semarang Barat.

Suwari confess that he murdered Yanuar because Suwari was embittered toward Yanuar which asked him to fight. He was very angry and had a planned with his friend, Ginanjar to murder Yanuar. Suwari and His friend tried to find Yanuar, and finally met in internet shop and Suwari kill him with a knife directly.

After the session, He whimpered because he was sentence 15 years in prison by the judges. Nevertheless Suwari and his lawyer, Krisna Tri Surya Hadiwijaya said that they accept the decision.
